On the path of the heart of the Sacred Fire of Itzachilatlán he embraced the dreams and visions of the ancient masters, seers and prophets, those who embodied the ancestral spirit and philosophy.

Purpose is what gives meaning and direction to any act or inspired expression in our lives, in our existence—it is the aim... When we make the decision to participate in an Ayahuasca ceremony and to be part of the medicine circle of the Sacred Fire of Itzachilatlan family over a weekend, everything begins at the start of the ceremony, when we are given a corn husk and a pouch of tobacco. With these, we prepare a tobacco roll—a kind of cigarette—as a physical instrument to connect with the spiritual world... The way in which this tobacco is taken makes it sacred, for through it one expresses, manifests, declares, and decrees the motive and reason for being there, becoming the generator and executor of the miracle and wonder we wish to bring into our life, our being, our existence, and all our relationships, in the purpose of attaining truth, awareness, and joy that allow us to fulfill our glorious destiny.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas. May the wind, the water, the fire, and the earth have been favorable to your lives. I give thanks to the Great Spirit for the opportunity to once again visit the United States from Peru, to gather soon, and to reestablish ourselves in peace with the invaluable help of our master plant, Ayahuasca—the one that brings understanding and knowledge and allows us to access the wisdom of our hearts. This medicine from our Peruvian Amazon. To those who knew us back in 2015, I extend my greetings and best wishes. To those we are yet to meet, I express my joy and gratitude for this possibility. My words are like the stars and will remain until the night comes when we can contemplate and feel them together, as we sit, as always, around the sacred fire. We will meet again on the path.
